For a long time, Profesional photographers had been discussing about which are the best film camera format: Medium Format or 35mm. I consider myself a Digital modern photographer but I was very curious when I heard the medium format term for the first time and later find a Rollei flex camera when attending to one of my class at Roberto Mata School of Photography

This curiosity was growing inside of me until I got my first Rollei Flex TLR and later a Hasselblad CM, That moment coincide with a Long Distance Photo expedition travel to the Detroit City using only Film cameras, That would be my first time exploring with film and medium format and that was amazing experience.

For this travel my equipment consisted of a Rollei Flex TLR, a  Hasselblad CM and a Canon AE1. After the second day photographing Detroit I decided to continue using only the Rollei Flex camera because it was a real challenge and for any unknown reason I was feel more confortable and reliable,  the final result is here so you can tell me if my decision was right or not. Now I’m more than happy with my Medium format cameras, that was my first time shooting film. I’m extremely grateful with my mentors Roberto and Julio who guide me and pushed me to get the Film photographer that was living inside of me...
