UGANDA FROM THE CAR
A photographic expedition into the heart of Uganda, May 2025. Originally conceived as a photographic safari, the journey gradually evolved into a deeply personal documentary project. Viewed through the window of a moving vehicle, the work reflects the perspective of a foreigner attempting to capture fragments of everyday life—children and adults walking long distances through the mountains to collect water, attend school, go to church, or simply search for food. This unique experience was made possible through an invitation from Italian filmmaker Luca Germini, who is based in Spain, and renowned Russian wildlife photographer Alexandra Surkova, also based in Spain. Surkova's work has been published by National Geographic and numerous other international publications, and she has received multiple prestigious awards, establishing her as one of Europe's leading wildlife photographers.
